CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen. Thousands of athletes worldwide have followed our workouts posted daily on this site and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes.

Olympic Weightlifting Competition 12.10.12 WOD

Athletes...
Natural Selection CrossFit is going to host our very own Olympic Weightlifting Competition!!

Set aside the evening of December 19th to participate in the event.  We will start at 6:30pm.  This will signal the end of the of the Olympic Lifting class for 2012--a culmination of the progress our athletes made.
Each entrant will be competing in both the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.  You will get 3 attempts at each lift to reach your 1 rep max.  Lift totals will be combined to get your "Total".  You will be judged on each lift, so you'll need to be technically sound.  You may want to spend some time during your warm-up or after a WOD practicing each movement.  Coaches will be there to offer some tips.

Please sign up on the Events Board at the box.  Space is limited to the first 20 entrants.  We will have weight categories for males & females.

If you have any questions, talk to Leo or Eric.

WOD:
8 rds for time of:
200m Run
8 Deadlifts 175/135
8 bar-facing burpees
